68 Vicksburg Miss March 8th 1864 Tuesday I gave James Henderson five dollars when I parted with Him at the Black River Bridge on March 4th. He was out of money & I Had ten Dollars. we left Vicksburg at 9 oclck A. M. & stoped near Millikens Bend to word untill 9 p. m. the Minnehaha is a very slow Boat I am Reading Davenport Dunn by Charles Lever
