76 Boat Minnehaha Miss River March 16th 1864 Wensday We were taken off the Bar today by the new Boat Island City at 4 oclock, and Reached Cairo at 11 oclock P. M. after being on the sand Bar 44 hours Colonel Geddes & Lieut Col. Stibbs went over to Hickman & got drunk, & in their absence the Minnehaha was cleaned out of all eatables & drinkables
