144 Memphis Tennessee May 23d 1864 Monday I & Mr. Dobbis of Co A. Recd a shelter Tent & draw our Rations with Co K. we put up the Tent & now await orders. I looked over the mail & found no letters for me. I wrote a letter to Mrs. C. J. Henderson. The memphis Theatres are in operation tonight for the benefit of the Sanitary fair. I went with Dobbins to the National Theatre medium performance
