152 Memphis Tennessee May 31th 1864 Tuesday I wrote a letter to Jane this morning during an attack of ague But soon had to stop. Reported to surgeon & got ague Medicin, & was very sick all day, more so then ever I was with ague before. Very hot weather dry & dusty been no Rain Here for two weeks.
