162 Memphis Tennessee June 10th 1864 Friday The 27th Iowa arived at this place today I went down this morning & found Jamie & turned over to Him the eatables from Home that survived the wreck of time. His Regiment is going into camp Here. our Regt. went to the Fort to see the execution of the 3 New Jersy soldiers who committed the Rape on a woman in Town
