166 Memphis Tennessee June 14th 1864 Tuesday I went over to 27th Iowa with the papers of application for Transfer of James Henderson. His Co Comander approved it. Colonel Gilbert approved it & forwarded up Higher. I send one coppy to D B Henderson to be forwarded to washington to try it through Senator Allison. Took dozes of quinine today to Keep off ague
