193 Pontotoc Mississippi July 11th 1864 Monday Moved again before day light and drove the Rebels beyond the Villiage of Pontotos skirmishing all the way a distance of 6 miles. We formed a line of battle once & fired 3 shells Killing one Rebel with His Horse. We Camped one mile south of the villiage. We are now on half Ration of everything But meat & onely 1/4 of that. Heavy Rain to day
