51 Strangely correct, I was somewhat disapointed in the appearance of the man, for I could not help forming the opinion that the Hero of Wild Cat, Chicamauga, Mission Ridge & Nashville is a Whisky bloat, & that Idea is strenthened by the unsteady and vacilating manner He moves His army on the Retreating foe. for we seem to move by accident, stop Camp &c. without any apparent motive or Design. We marched 5 miles south of Columbia & Camped without orders.
