58 army of the Cumberland His Wound would have been properly cared for. He Came back to us with His Wound rendering freely, & His bloody Shirt Still on Him, But perhaps our splendid Corps of Nurses & Christian Commission folks were entirely ocupied in dressing the Wounded of the Powerfull 4th Corps who Charged & took the Enemy's works, after Smiths Gurrillas of the 16 Corps had taken them & evacuated them to pursue the Routed Rebel army, I supose a special
