123 Eastport Mississippi Jan 17th 1865 Tuesday Had General Inspection by Brigade Inspector this forenoon, arms in bad Condition, very bussey making out Muster & Pay Rolls for the two months ending Dec 31st 1864, & other papers. Very Cold weather, Hard frost, But we are getting quite comfortable in our Log House, the Boys are still improving it as they find time from other Duties incident to life in Camp
