275 as there is a greater diversity of timber & not the everlasting pine, now we pass under the green folliage of the oak., the mullbery the Chestnut, the China Tree, &c which is both gratefull as a shade and Beautifull to the eye. And yet with all those natural advantages the Southern Country is a Century behind the North in Architecture, Mechanics & Civilization. I wrote Two sheets of note paper as part of a letter to Mrs Henderson
