6 Selma Ala July 5th 1865 Wednesday sent a Harpers Weekly to Frank Henderson. The weather is most oppressively hot this month sickness is on the increase in the camps. I am quite unwell again with bowel complaints but report for duty & do my own doctoring used the wet bandage & syringe some today.This place of Selma is fast recovering from the war devastation but the people are very disloyal at heart, that is the civilian portion of them.
