25 Selma Ala, July 18" 1865 Tuesday The 3d Brigade 1st Div 16" Co, C, is disolved Col Marshall 7th Minn Comdg is relieved by Order No. 124 Div Hd. Quarts in obedience to Gen Orders No 25" Corps Hd. Qurs, 16" C. so as to let the 3 Regts in the 3d Brigade go Home by reason of terms of Service expiring before Oct. 1st 1865. Col Marshall published quite a Complimentary farewell Address to the Brigade in Selma Times. Took a walk through the City to day with James Henderson today, had mellon &c.. & done some buying for mess
