40 Selma Ala July 30" 1865 Sunday I wrote letter to Mrs C J. Henderson, and Father to day. I have Symtoms of fever to day very Strong. James Henderson who has been ailing some for two days past is quite Sick with fever to day and unable to Sit up the air is very Hot and dryand the deadly Miasma of decaying matter is wafted on every breath of air.rain is very much needed now
