42 Selma Ala July 1st 1865 Tuesday Detailed Officer of Provost Guard, Lieut.Switzer Co. "E" my aid. A. J Smith passed through the City to Mobile He being relieved by Gen Wood, $20.00 I collected in fines from Citizens for the United States, after which the parties were released from Custody. On making report of Prisoners I had 13 citizens White & Coloredandn 7 soldiers for Crimes ranging from Murder to petty Larceny
