46 But they were doubtless very applicable to the people, who were just released from a long period of Egyptian Bondage, and apt to indulge in all the excesses practiced by their Corrupt Masters. The Jews seemed to [favor?] the Preists of the House of Levi in a Marked Manner which doubtless formed a good precedent for Preists in modern Times of the Roman Church - who Claim [their?] offerings of Gold, Cattle, Houses, & Lands &c.
