47 Selma Ala Aug 21st 1865 Monday I paid order No 4 on Regtl. Fund to Major G S. Vines 20.00 17 men Sick in Co. C with chill fever to day. I wrote a letter to Mrs Jennie Henderson to day. It is with Considrable dificulty that the Orderly Can find suficent well men to fill the Detals for duty in the Co as many men are taken Sick during the day who are not [illegible] by Surgeon in the Morning. So the men do duty every other day
