72 Selma Ala Sept 12" 1865 Tuesday I was Detailed officer of Guard and went on Duty to day. J W King was released from prison and returned to Co. for Duty. J. C. Davis has been taken down with Small pox and we have put up a Tent apart for His use & Detailed Charles Carrington Co C to nurse Him. Co. [G?] ordered back to Regt for Duty from Freedmens Dept. Very Hot weather Still
