1 Saturday Selma Ala Sept 16th 1865 This afternoon the 4 Companies of the Regt who refused to perform Duty - Sent a delegation to Col. McGee asking that proceedings be Stoped as they would return to duty So the Matter was droped and the Col promised to use His best endeavours to procure better Rations in future and pay as Soon as possible. McGee is Col of the 47 Ills Comdg Post. the 4 Companies in Mutiney B, E, S, & I. I paid Order No 6 Regt Fund 37.90 Paid Order No 7 Do 20.58 Recd of Sergt W.R. Mathews Regtl Baker in full 24.34 for week ending Sept 16"/ 65
