66 Center Ala Nov 13" 1865 Monday The returns begin to Come in from the Elections in this State and the indications are that large majorities have been given to the [Cescession?] Candidates for Office, Both for members of Congress and State & County Offices and in this portion of the State at least there is little hope for the people taking the proper Steps for reconciliation for what the people call reconciliation is for the Union element to be reconciled to be trampled on by the Old Secession party who are Still the Majority. (Vertically, at left:-) Wrote a letter to Mrs Henderson
