10 Center Ala Dec 5" 1865 Tuesday I sent off perr Curier this morning the regiment files of the Amnesty Oaths Administered by me During the month of Nov at this place, one file to Dept of State Washington D.C. & Duplicate files for Provost Marshall Genl Dept of Ala. Both [amongst?] Hd Qrs Dept of Ala. with letter of Transmital Addressed to Maj.Fred Wilson Adjt. Genl. Dept Ala. rainy weather Commenced to day. Lieut.Runkle Co "A", Comdg mounted men, Came up from Jacksonville bringing me orders to Arrest Daniels (Vertically, from bottom right:-) ex Sheriff of this County for the murder of a Federal Soldier last Summer near Galesville
