11 Centre, Ala.Dec 6" 1865 Wedensday I had an invitation from Dr. Sparks to take Dinner with him & Family yesterday and He called for me to day and as Lieut. Runkle was with me He asked him also. We had a very pleasant visit. his Two Daughters moved their seats in Church once when Capt.Reed & I took seats near them. and now they are ashamed of it. We visited Mr Sharps Family this Afternoon, And went to Judge Standifer in the evening where we had very sweet music by the little Girls. Lieut. Runkle was hapily entertained by the folks here and prefers this place to Jacksonville
