19 Centre Ala Dec 13th 1865 Wedensday the village is very quiet again after the Arrest of Daniels, there was considerable excitement when Daniels was taken, and some others who were implicated in the Murder made themselves scarce, but they are only putting off the evil day by an evasion of the trial. Heavy rain last night, quite Cold to day with a north wind, winter is Commencing at last. Reading in Don Quixote some to day, as it is more comfortable sitting by our pine knot fire reading than exercising out doors,
