29 Centre Ala Dec 22d 1865 Friday Sent the team down to Jacksonville as we have no forage for it here not having received enough to last to Jan 1 1866. Sent Curier down with Mail & Communication to Major Reed. Recd Mail from below for Wm. Jordan who Came up with his Brother Isadore and William Hamlin who have Come up on a Christmas visit. I Recd a letter from Mrs Henderson of date Nov 30". Rode out this Afternoon with Mr Baker Cool but pleasant riding in the evergreen pine woods surrounding Centre
