30 Centre Ala Dec 23d 1865 Saturday Last night S. B. Card and a Citizen got on a Spree & took out the two Govt. horses from the Stable & rode 8 or 10 miles & [Stew?] them up very badly. I let the Citizen go free from punishment on account of His being induced to it by Card. I Received an invitation to a Christmas Supper from the Freed people who are going to have a Supper and dance on Christmas eve. in this village,
