33 Jacksonville Ala Dec 26" 1865 Tuesday My Team from Centre Came in at noon, and after dinner we left Jacksonville & rode through to Blue mountain Station 10 miles. Maj' Reed, Lieut. Dunham & myself were the last to leave Jacksonville then the Northern Counties of Ala were evacuated of U.S. Troops to Day. Stoped at Blue Mountain to night where we take the Cars for Talladega. Recd a letter from Mrs. C J Henderson very heavy rains tonight with thunder
