56 Oct 27 Dubuque Co Iowa 1861 things down to our quarters by George Durno & I did not get the letter nor the nut until I saw David afterward which was after I had written the above and it seems the children sent the bag of nuts to papa & uncle George God bless them and the letter informed me that Franky wanted to send papa an apple
