94 1861 Nov 6 Dubuque co Iowa I made out a fur -lough for myself & Dan Stone of Edes and procured the signature of our Captain and Colonol Woods it is for the 7th to the 18 of Nov 1861 and gives me the privil ige of going to Postville & from there to Rockford Illinois for the purpose of moving my family there
