159 Dec 11th St Louis Missouri 1861 It is freezing again although mildly but It is pleasenter so then if it was wet & muddy. I attended a debating society in Company K. quarters and was invited to speak, the subject was Resolved that love is a greater stimulant to action than fear. I spoke on the affirmative which side Recd. the decision
