Monday July 6th 1885 Mother took little Rob home this morning and did not come home till the middle of the afternoon. I got the dinner, practiced some and sewed a little We picked carrots in the evening after supper. Tuesday July 7th 1885 I went to town this morning to see Hatt a few moments and take my lesson. I did a little trading too. I went down to Hatts for my dinner. she is going to the valley to stay a week. I sewed and practiced a little after I come home. I had a letter from Will Reed. Wednesday July 8th 1885 We put up some fruit in the morning and Mother was gone to town all the afternoon to make calls. I sewed and practiced some and had supper ready when she came home. We picked carrots after supper. Thursday July 9th 1885 We had the washing done this morning and ironed a little before dinner. I practiced while mother was gone to town in the afternoon. John Whetstone come honme with her for supper. I wrote to Will in the evening. Friday July 10th 1885 We ironed this forenoon and I sewed a little. Mr. Free came home with Ott for dinner. I sewed some more in the afternoon and practiced a little. Mrs Collins come for her milk in the evening and I sat and talked with her till nearly bed time went to bed early.
