Tuesday September 15th 1885 It has been a year today since Rob died. I went to town early this morning and am reading a letter from Will I found George McCallisters had lost their little daughter by death a few days ago. I spent the day at Hatties. wrote to Charlie & Ida. Wednesday September 16th 1885 Mother and Father were over to Esthers most of the day. Uncle Jacob came just at dinner time. Lee took him to the valley I rode over town before supper. wrote to Will in the evening. Thursday September 17th 1885 Mother and Father spent the day in town. I did the housework and played on the piano some. I made a little edging too took [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] supper at Clutes. Friday September 18th 1885 I was busy about the house most of the morning. Will & Esther with Aunty Walker were here for dinner. I went over late in the afternoon to look at my new piano and am pleased with it. weather very warm for the time of year. Saturday September 19th 1885 I was at home all day. Mother to town in the afternoon. My new piano was brought over and the old one taken away. I played on its all the evening. made some edging today. [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] Father went away. Sunday September 20th 1885 It was very warm for the time of year. I went to chirch in the morning. I wrote to Will Work and Mary Briggs in the afternoon and played on the piano in the evening. The Whetstones family were over all day.
