68 In the Field Arkansas Sept 18th. 1864 Sunday The advance moved out this morning at 1/2 past 5 A M. the 3d Brigade bringing up the Rear. we have 250 waggons with suplies along 3 Brigades of our Division along which comprise one Div also the 4th Brigade of 17th A C & some Cavelry 800 8000 men. We marched through Austin at noon a place which sows sign's of former prosperity, But now alas a wreck., passed through Stoney Point at 4 P.M. another Dilapidated Villiage, Camped near the latter place. Marching 19 mils to day Cool marching
