112 Pleasant Hill Missouri October 30th 1864 Sunday Marched from Harrisonville to Pleasant Hill 12 miles and encamped at noon. The Pacific R. Road is graded to this place, a very pretty Country But Timber is scarce. Mr. Humphrey Preached this afternoon the first oppertunity in 10 Sundays, October 31 Monday We Mustered this morning for pay. I had a visit from James Henderson & He loaned me $3-00 & showed me a Home letter, We then marched at noon towards Booneville passing through Lone Jack a Ruined Villiage & Camping at Chaple Hill after a march of 20 miles. Chaple Hill is Totaly destroyed by fire
