113 Black Water Missouri November 1st 1864 Tuesday Marched 25 miles to day over a Prairie allmost Deserted by the Inhabitants as the empty & wrecked Homes show. Camped on the Black Water Cole Hill of 35 Iowa is in Comd of Brigade. Nov 2d 1864 Wensday marched 27 miles to day Camping near Dunkburg or Seagleville. our Rout is now Changed for Sedalia. Nov 3 Thursday We marched to Sedalia to day in a Severe Snow Storm 20 miles without Halting, in 5 hours. Col. Woods takes Comd of Brigade & Gen McArthur of Division
