(3) Sugar Paste Work Half a pound of fresh Butter to a Cream in a Dish or Bason then Stir into it half a pound of Sifted Sugar and work as much fine flower into it as will make it into a Paste fit to Role out. Hot Paste To three pound of flour take three Quarters of a pound of Butter and boil it up in Water and Shim the butter into your flour with some of the Water and make it into a Paste fit to Raise
