Sunday August 10th 1884. I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. John and Hatt spent the afternoon here with the children. Tom and Lee went to the valley. After supper Doc and I walked home with the folks and Lee and Tom came over afterwards, we spent a pleasant evening there. Monday August 11th 1884. The boys went west on the early train and Ott at noon. I sewed all day. Mother was over town in the afternoon Weather more pleasant. Tuesday August 12th 1884. I was over town most of the forenoon in the buggy with Rob. I sewed on muslin in the afternoon. Mother was over town to see about getting her a new dress. A letter from Will Reed. Wednesday August 13th 1884. Mother and Rob went to the valley to spend the day. Hatt was over here with Edith I sewed on muslin. Thursday August 14th 1884. We got washing and part of ironing done. I went over in the afternoon and got Mother a new dress. Mr Burtons father and mother were here all night. There was a riot in town last night over the liquors law Wrote to Will
