Sunday August 24th 1884. I was busy about the work and helping take care of the children. I went home with the folks in the afternoon it rained so I stayed all night. Wrote to Vene. Monday August 25th 1884. I got Mother a new gingham dress and worked on it some after I came home. Rob Mother Lee and I took a ride to the farm. Tuesday August 26th 1884. Mother and Rob went to the valley. I helped get the dinner and went over to help Hatt sew all the afternoon. Wednesday August 27th 1884. It was a rainy day. I helped a little with the work but sewed most of the day. I finished Mothers gingham. Thursday August 28th 1884. It was not a very pleasant wash day but we got the clothes dry. Hatt and Edith were over in the afternoon. Friday August 29th 1884. I helped iron in the forenoon and sewed in the afternoon. Mother and Rob were over to Hatts for supper. I went over a few moments after dinner but came right back.
