Monday September 29th 1884. Father concluded to go away on the afternoon train. I was busy getting his things ready Mother went to the depot with him. I was busy doing some odd jobs sewing. Tuesday September 30th 1884. It was a showery sultry day. I worked cutting up old dresses. Mother went to Uncle Jims in the afternoon and did not get home till dark. I had letters from Will Reed & Clara Musselman. Wednesday October 1st 1884. It was a rainy day. I sewed on my quilt pieces all day. Wrote a letter to Father. Had the washing done. Thursday October 2nd 1884. Was over town nearly all the forenoon. I got Mother a new calico dress and began work in the afternoon. Edith came home with me, and Mother took her home. Friday October 2nd 1884. I was busy sewing on Mothers dress all day. Hatt was over with Edith till after dinner. Ida got the ironing done, before noon. I wrote to Charlie. Weather still sultry and rainy.
