Saving...
Saturday October 18th 1884. I arrived in Delavan at nine oclock and found the folks all well. I visited with Vene all the forenoon. After dinner called on Mrs Beecher, Mrs Baker & Mrs Sanford did a little shopping and took a short ride with Will Reed, visited with Jim and Vene in the evening. Sunday October 19th 1884. It was a beautiful day. I went to church in the morning and Will and I were riding all the afternoon. Met several old acquaintances. We came back in time for lunch and attended church in the evening. Monday October 20th 1884. I was helping about the work a little today and late in the afternoon called to see Eva Taylor. After supper Will and I took a ride down to the Duncan place. Tuesday October 21st 1884. It rained all day. I was not away from the house. I helped a little about doing the ironing and sewed on some curtains I was fixing for Vene. I did not hear from home today. Wrote yesterday.
