Friday December 5th 1884. It was a rainy gloomy day. I was not away from the house, was busy sewing and practicing on the piano. Saturday December 6th 1884. It rained the entire day. I did a little sewing and practiced on the piano several hours. Sunday December 7th 1884. It was a cold disagreeable day. I was about home all day. I played a little on the piano and in the evening wrote letters Tom Baker and Flo Watson. Monday December 8th 1884. I was down town in the forenoon and Mother over in the afternoon. I practiced while she was away, sewed in evening. Tuesday December 9th 1884. It was wash day I spent part of the afternoon in town. We heard that Kitt Veers died in Burlington today. I had a letter from Will. Wednesday December 10th 1884. I was busy about the work all the afternoon and evening as Mother went to Burlington. I was over town in the morning.
