Saving...
Tuesday December 23rd 1884. I was at work all day helping clean up the house. Mother went to town awhile in the afternoon. I had a letter from Will he will be here tomorrow night. Father will not come home but Charlie & Ida will christmas day. Wednesday December 24th 1884. Weather intensely cold. I was busy about the work till late in the afternoon. I walked over to town. I ate supper at Hatts and she and I worked till ten oclock to put the presents on the christmas tree. Ott went to the depot to meet Will, it was eleven oclock when we got home. Thursday December 25th 1884. We got the work done up in good time this morning for all we got up late. Hattie came over with the children when Charlie & Ida did. We all went back to Hatts to see the tree in the afternoon and to the four oclock train with Charlie & Ida. The tree was beautiful and Hattie had an elegant supper. We all got very nice presents. We came home about eight oclock. Weather still very cold.
