(158) To make vinegar of Rasins Take 28 pound of Rasins from Maligo with the stalks on. put them into a large earthen vessell or barrell & power upon them 40 quarts of river water. set the vessell in the sun where it may git the most heat. & let it stand 3 moneths stiring it up once in 5 or 6 daies. cover the vessell with a tile stone or anything that keepes out dust & put to it 2 pennyworth of Argill bett.
