A Poltice for a White Swelling Take 2 Bunches of Marshmallows, 2 of Rue 2 of Smallage 2 of Common Mallows 2 of Red Sage three good handfulls of camomile flowers; all these must be pickt & shred small, then Boyle 2 Quarts of Milk thicken it with oatmeal then Stir in a large peice of Hogs Lard, and put it on as Hot as you can bear it The Learned Doctor Lind has Lately make trial of a Medicine which has Effectually and instantly remov'd the Gout from the Stomach in five different prtest, The Medicine is the Vitrolic Ether, a Tea Spoonful, of Which Dr Lind gives in an Ounce of Camphorated Julep, with half an Ounce of pepper - Mint Water
