Lady Exeter's Receipt for the Gout or Cholic. Raisons of the Sun ston'd, two Pounds and a Half Rhubarb, Half a Pound and Half an Ounce, Sena One Ounce and a Half. Coriander and Fennel Seeds, of each one Ounce, Cochineal, One Ounce. Saffron & Liquorish, of each Half an Ounce. In fuse in these two Gallons of French Brandy, and let it stand ten Days; then strain it off, and put to the same Ingredients five Quarts of French Brandy, and let it stand fourteen days; then strain it off, and take a small Coffee - Cup full, or six Spoonfuls, every two or three Hours, till the Pain is removed.
