Saving...
It threatened a storm but it did not come. I had a very pleasant nights ride as it was moonlight. I had time to eat breakfast at Peoria before starting on. Saturday July 21st 1883 I started for Delanas at seven twenty where I arrived before nine oclock. Jim was at the depot with the waggon. I found the folks all well and was so glad to get here and see them. Venes babe is a lovely child. I slept two hours before dinner and Vene and I just talked all the afternoon. I walked down to the office and drug store after supper for some things. I met Will Reed and he asked me to take a ride. he came soon after I got back We had a very pleasant ride, the moon shone as bright as day. We all sat on the porch and talked after we bog back. Weather warm today.
