January 1st 1882 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Just before dinner Hatt come over. Mother went home with her at four oclock. In the evening I wrote a long letter to Vene. Weather rather pleasant. Monday January 2nd 1882. I helped do up the work this morning and went over to Wins to dinner. Had a very pleasant day. Was at Hatts a few moment and got home before night. I worked on my edging all the evening. Tuesday January 3rd 1882. I was busy about the house most of the day. Worked on my edging what spare time I had. Some of the boys got back today. But Bridget has not come yet.
