In the afternoon I was sewing. Mifs Howe was here most of the afternoon. I went over town after supper and sat on the porch, to talk with the boys after I came back. Sunday August 20th 1882. Hatt and Mollie came over quite early in the morning and brought the baby along. Mother and I were busy most of the forenoon getting the dinner ready. I wrote a short letter to Will Reed in the afternoon and visited with the folks Aunty Walker was here for supper. Monday August 21st 1882. I did a large washing this forenoon and cleaned the house all up. I sewed on Fathers shirts in the afternoon and did up the work alone in the evening as Mother went to the theater with Rob.
