she was invited to tea. I got the supper alone. Rob went after her and they went up town before they came home. It took till bed time to get the work done up. Saturday September 23rd 1882. I soon got the house cleaned up this morning and a cake baked. We sent over for Hatt and the baby to stay all day We worked all the afternoon and till nearly bed-time putting up spiced apples making apple jelly and apple butter. Sunday September 24th 1882. I was busy about the house all the forenoon and in the afternoon read awhile. In the evening wrote a letter to Melinda Shasteen. Weather rather pleasant. Rob went to the valley in the afternoon and brought Mifs DuHadway home with him to make a visit.
