Saving...
Monday September 25th 1882. It looked like rain this morning so we put the clothes to soak. I made one lot of apple jelly before noon. We worked at that all the afternoon. Mother is nearly sick with a cold. It cleared of in the afternoon and I put the clothes out. In the evening Mr Rose-berry and Mr [Erike?] came down stairs to play cards. We had a pleasant game and after we were through the boys helped bring the clothes in. Tuesday September 25th 1882. I got up and done the ironing before breakfast and cleaned up the house and helped get the dinner in the forenoon. Emma and I went over town in the afternoon, were at Hatts a little while and at some of the stores trading. I brought a basket of peaches home for supper. We played cards again tonight. Otto played with us so we had a six handed game. Weather cool and pleasant.
