Saving...
Thursday December 7th 1882. It was a very cold day the thermometer being 20 degrees below zero. We had all we could do to keep the house comfortable and do the cooking. Friday December 8th 1882. Weather somewhat moderated but still very cold, was right at home all day when not doing the house-work I was busy knitting on stockings for May. Saturday December 9th 1882 I was at home all day and busy about the house-work most of the time. Mother and May were both over to town in the afternoon. I knit a little in the evening it was late before we got the work done up. Sunday December 10th. I was at home and at work most of the day. Mother and Rob took a ride in the sleigh out to the West Farm in the afternoon. I read a little while in the evening and went to bed early.
